One way they do their work is to file false spam reports for different links of articles challenging IRI. They even file false reports with Google or Twitter for URL-shortened addresses created by Google or Twitter URL shorteners that point to those activist domains. One way the U.S. can help with this situation, is to create a database of legitimate Iranian Internet domains abroad and provide it to major Internet firms such as Google, Microsoft, Facebook and Twitter, and advise them to ignore all spam reports for URL addresses pointing to those legitimate Internet domains or shortened addresses that point to those domains. U.S. authorities can also detect those who make such false reports and take appropriate legal action, as they may be possible IRI agents in the West.
